had 3 days of buttheart @ job (from monday until evening) when upgraded 11.10. waiting newly ordered imac within 2 weeks 11.04 installed back.
hate both gs , unity. both ruins workflow , both can't provide usable instead. found both of extremely inferior on gnome 2 + synapse. tried customize gs, looks defective core. best extension gs 1 turning refined gnome 2, without these stupid corners, stupid sliders, strange notification system «doesn't disturb user» (omg, wanted notification disturb me), etc.

btw, imac solution kind of strange one: use ubuntu server in vm. that's least evil thing. both gs , unity plain , simple unusable. facts: used mac immediately, saw gnome 2 superior on windows xp in 2007. newest frankensteins (gs , unity) not in same league @ least. worse windows.

no, not being sarcastic. wondered if toggles on same effect. if it's built shell make easier code extension it.

i've never used shell on laptop don't know kinds of features best suit it.

oh, see. no, that's accessibility option using keyboard control pointer instead of using mouse. jdshu, sanderd17, , referring keyboard controls using arrow keys or tab in overview switch between windows, workspaces, etc., , sanderd17 mentioned using arrow keys navigate items in search (at present, , down used, not left , right, , it's inefficient.)

don't think it's laptop thing, way. users more keyboard- or mouse-centric others, , i'm aware i'm keyboard-centric person. (so should really using unity, is keyboard-focused, way shell looks , works otherwise.)
