Problem with Visio Plug-in Rendering All Layers
hey everyone
i've been beating head against wall , i'm in need of major help. have visio diagram has lot of layers. have 2 generations of diagram. first generation works without issue. second one, fails miserably.
i built first generation in visio 2007. came find out there maximum amount of layers can put in '07 document switched 2010. have second generation document complete. have acrobat pro x installed. (xi version doesn't allow select "retain layers in selected page").
when build second generation visio, selecting layers want retain, spits out image... puts every single layer on output of screen. none of "eye" buttons selected. not normal behavior. in addition 2 of layers, text not in bold , in standard text format. how did happen?

i need know can try output correctly first generation.
fyi. acrobat x , xi not work office 2013 32-bit testing. never plug-in show up. impossible enable. in addition, xi plug-in not allow select "retain layers in selected page" visio 2010 when saving pdf. disappointing.

so figured out workaround.... whomever @ adobe charge of qa , testing integration visio should fired...
to make work, have have multiple instances of visio. work on diagram in visio 2010, save it, close. when i'm ready export diagram acrobat layered pdf, have open visio document 2007 , use acrobat x export it.
1. acrobat xi doesn't work either visio 2010 or 2013 (never tried 2007). doesn't allow select layers retain when exporting
2. acrobat x doesn't work visio 2013. plug-in consistently crashes. xi shown suffers symptom of #1.
3. acrobat x doesn't export layers in visio 2010.
4. acrobat x , xi plug-ins visio work 32-bit versions of microsoft office.
shame on adobe lack of integration testing.
properly exported on visio 2007 after creating in 2010.
