InDesign's Pen Tool Picks Random Stroke and Fill Colors/Styles

why that, when switch tool pen tool, indesign decides it's going apply random stroke , fill colors shape? lot of bump-out silhouttes , basic illustrations in indesign, , every time go pen tool, there's stroke , fill applied. colors aren't same each time happens, , there doesn't seem rhyme or reason. on top of that, indesign has decided (over last couple of days) apply "registration" fill color. last time clicked on registration in swatches panel after installing cs5.5 see if deleted (it can't), there's no way program applying fill color based on inputs. it's inconceivable me swatch you're not supposed use selected program no reason.

 

applying no stroke , no fill in swatches panel without documents open not work.

try trashing prefs. see replace preferences
