Test mail could not be sent. SMTP Error: Could not authenticate. - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

my joomla "global configuration / server tab /mail settings" are:

send mail - yes
mailer - smtp
smtp authentication - yes
smtp security - tls
smtp port - 587
smtp host smtp.gmail.com

i following error when click on 'send test email' button:

test mail not sent. smtp error: not authenticate.

i using byethost free web host. causing smtp error?

i have small box slides bottom right of webpage asking if want participate in survey related site. i plan remove/modify survey pop cant find located in joomla control panel. i've searched modules on home page menu comes up, template index.php, extensions, plugins, modules cant find related it. where commonly located ? suggest go extensions>manage>manage , order on id descending. show extensions added joomla. id's >10000. must 1 of them! Error when I try to record application simulation in Adobe Presenter 8

hello, have 30 day trial of adobe presenter 8 , subscription adobe captivate 6.  record application simulation within presenter, receive error after entering swf-name states captivate cannot started , check see if captivate configured run in administrator mode.
