How to export AI 5.1 files to After Effects as vectors?

hi all,

 

this may have simple solution (and does), can't find it. i'm trying import ai 5.1 file ae 5.5 original vectors. need able scale 12,000 percent , down 100 percent effect of extreme closeup being zoomed out of. point of vectors, of course, can without losing resolution... no matter try, ai files keep being imported raster files. when they're scaled enough, pixilation starts. there has way around this!!! there many smart people here-- i'm sure knows answer.

Upgrade 3.4.8 to 3.5.1 failed "download package failed" - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
