Mysterious paths in pen tool appearing!

hi guys, i'm keen amateur on computer , run own construction company. have steel ruler our logo, i'm trying spiral staircase also. not sure if 2 logo's allowed; steel ruler has our company name imprinted on , thought cool way display our name. severley faultered pro.

 

was hoping find vector art of helical staircase not out there. made couple of beautiful helical stairs client, , i'm trying trace , use our logo also.

 

i'm tracing in vector art because have roland gx24 vinyl cutter , i'm making own banners etc.

 

i have 3 queries:

 

1:      pen showing strange invisible paths appear in plugin cutstudio (where haven't closed paths off presume?). how can paths drawn?;

 

2:      when go cut this, vinyl cutter treat paths single slices. design if drawn, want way of creating 2 paths strokes, 2mm width apart.

     leave piece of vinyl 2mm in width when peel off, vinyl stay there; pen stroke of handwritten drawing.

 

3:     snapping should using? i've had problems points or paths not being snapped perfectly. cutter end cutting of other adjoining 2mm vinyl , after time cause vinyl peel off.

 

hope i've explained enough , insight can bring.

you drawing non-convex path, meaning area curving in on , there internal overlaps. cutter software trying fix things splitting path 2 convex shapes, may or may not represent need. rid of protrusion on top corner , things better. creating outline, may have revert illustrator that...
