New to Joomla - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hey there!

brand new forum , joomla in general. local business owner out of minnesota. told current web consultant may advantageous me transfer site's current platform ([spam]) joomla. don't understand logic behind differences appear (to me @ least, may way off-base) marginal @ best. can't see search engine advantage doing either, unless again i'm missing bigger point. had experience or expertise on kinda stuff? also, if best switch over, how go doing it?

welcome forum. starting words "i told someone-or-other 'it may advantageous' ..." go person , ask them, "in opinion, advantages?"

25 million+ joomla users ... kind of says something, guess.

transferring—migrating content—from existing website joomla tough question answer. depends, really, on business objectives are, services offered through existing website , whether can achieve things , grow business joomla (and extensions) can provide. think, greater or lesser extent, we've had experience , "expertise" in going through process i'm not sure how best guide you. own personal experience talked few people, bought couple of books, read online , threw myself process.

everyone had different approach, suppose, , different approaches appeal people differently (e.g. people never buy book ... happen learn best way).

Upgrade 3.4.8 to 3.5.1 failed "download package failed" - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi -- after after loading files of joomla 3.5 program, went site , tried open complete installation. got message: fatal error: require_once(): failed opening required '/homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/libraries/import.legacy.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5.5') in /homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/includes/framework.php on line 15 ran fpa program. hope way make available here. http://gnustories.org/fpa-en.php winku your domain name seems not working - not showing fpa report php page holding page generated isp (1 & 1) the easier way generate report fpa script , copy reply of thread (that intended way done). suggest review instructions on generating report makes format suitable forum.
