Thread: netboot/dnsmasq help (EasyPeasy server)
i'm trying netboot ancient p3 laptop using easypeasy/edubuntu netbook, via guide: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/in...n/quicknetboot
problem is, dnsmasq commands,
come "command not found," unlesscode:dhcp-range=192.168.1.20,192.168.1.30,12h enable-tftp tftp-root=/tftpboot dhcp-boot=pxelinux.0 dhcp-option=3,192.168.1.1 dhcp-option=4.4.2.1
1) prefix them "dnsmasq" each time, guide not seem indicate
2) kill dnsmasq between each step.
commands accepted using above steps, not result in dnsmasq listening on desired ports, nor serving netboot files.
saw similar complaint directed "add binaries path," i'm terminal n00b. have general instructions adding path, no clue what, specifically, add dnsmasq, nor whether solve problem.
advice? also, specific distro recommendations 1250mhz piii w/256mb ram (compaq evo n600)? got impression ubuntu run fine on machine w/ 192mb+, , grabbed lucid archives.
please, no recommendations involving optical or usb media.
