Migrate from Joomla 3.5.1 on Wamp on Windows10 to Xammp on OSX - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hi,
i developed site on joomla (now v. 3.5.1) on wamp on windows (now v.10). i'm migrating mac, including web development. i've installed xammp 7.0.5 , bitnami joomla.
all on how efficiently welcome. must i'm new osx , don't know way around (yet).

firstly, use mamp on osx; there's free version works , pro version offers worthwhile enhancements if web-dev stuff. operates independently of php/apache comes osx , better :-)
secondly,, using mamp easy; need to:
1. copy website's files application's /htdocs folder
2. use phpmyadmin (supplied mamp) create database/database user , import database.
3. alter few settings in configuration.php (database name/user, , couple of other things)
half , hour's work @ most, inexperienced.
