Thread: Cannot boot 11.10 LiveCD on Macbook Pro 8,2 - "Loading bootlogo..."

i'm trying install 11.10 on macbook pro 8,2 , gets stuck @ "loading bootlogo..."

issue described here , thought i'd ask if has had better luck.

same problem on macbook pro 13'' core i5 , hd3000 integrated gaphic 11.10 64bits (and ocz ssd)...
cd working if using mac mini core 2 duo, ati 320, , ssd (corsair 64)...

french forum report other users have problem with:
dell vostro 1710 , ubuntu secured 11.04 32bits and
toshiba m40-307.
dell user, solved using usb stick instead of cd:

there same problem live cd of gparted 3.82 of 2009...stops after copyright.

did not succeed create bootable usb stick on mac following instructions (usb stick, mac):
http://www.ubuntu.com/download/server/download
(unmount ok, dd looks ok have pop error message after end of encoding looking like: "the disk inserted not readable computer: init, ignore or eject"

can these informations solve problem? or @ least have bootable usb stick on mac :] ubuntu
