Thread: copy pictures through terminal


the goal here copy *.png, *.gif, *.jpg, , *.jpeg files /media/hplongname/documents , settings/.
files want located in sub-directories within folder. ex. '/media/hplongname/documents , settings/guestuser/pictures/angie/10-11-2004/newyork.jpg'
of files have extentions/suffixes on theme. trying copy them folder /media/16gbusb/thepicsyouwanted/. wish copy files path output might '/media/16gbusb/thepicsyouwanted/guestuser/pictures/angie/10-11-2004/newyourk.jpg' output doesnt need of need @ least in example /angie/10-11-2004/ copied. not have internet connection there , running ubuntu 11.10 32bit's live cd. has lot of pictures taken many cameras, past year has been taking pictures 720p camera, , takes 15 pictures on normal day. clueless else say, have been trying coppy them using cp command, cant seem pictures.

i ended using luckybackup, , found out had 24gb of pictures, (while had 22gb of free space) gave , set ftp transfers. (i managed cat 5 cable allowed use.)
