lightroom workflow slows down after modifying an image
hi fellow users,
lightroom 4.3 runs smoothly if work on unmodified images.
however, if apply modifications on image, retouching afterwards becomes slower, if render preview after made modifications on image.
i tell example: import raw file program , render it`s preview. retouch image - works fast, no waiting time, no loading overlay.
where problem starts: import raw file, apply modifications on (for example preset), render it`s preview - want more modifications on image, becomes slow.
i monitoring cpu usage of computer. in first case, cpu usage during modifying image normal.
in second case, goes 100%.
it seems applying modifications on image makes working on slow, no matter if have up-to-date preview or not.
anyone knows if normal or not?
is there solution this?
thanks,
tamas
my configuration:
windows 7 64 bit (up date)
lightroom 4.3 64 bit
fast pc
lightroom settings:
camera raw cache: 20gb
video cache: 10gb
first of all, can forget preview rendering, that's irrelevant. previews used library module, not develop module. in develop, it's handled acr cache.
now, slowing down after initial adjustments, that's variable haven't looked out for. correct (it explain weird results got across 2 machines recently).
in general, lightroom 4 performs below expected standards on systems, while others fly along, , seems nobody can explain why. long story, search on forum , you'll come several lengthy threads. problem there many variables in it's impossible define "slow" means. , you've added (interesting) one...
