Thread: Swapping harddrives

i'm swapping old ide hardrive new build , has ubuntu11.10 on

i'm wondering after boot ubuntu work on new computer.

ubuntus mix , match computers well. may have reinstall grub , maybe not. when switch disks seem have fix grub. windows tied 1 computer's hardware, ubuntus not. hope question.

edit: of course new computer run ide disks, right?
