Problem exporting an artboard to TIFF

in illustrator cs6 (16.2.0, 64 bit) exporting artboard grayscale tiff , resulting file 1 point large, leaving transparent strip on 1 edge. exporting artboard png works fine. not using align pixel grid. ideas?

after posted forum recommended other postings read (which  did not come when searching),  , found interesting aspect of this. artboard 504 x 317 points,  resulted in tiff being 504 x 318,  transparent strip on bottom. when changed art board dimensions (504 x 318), problem went away. live having dimensions divisible two, seems bug, since affects tiffs , not pngs.

 

by way, related tiff export bug in illustrator compression not work.  photoshop can correctly create lzw-compressed tiff,  illustrator not.

Upgrade 3.4.8 to 3.5.1 failed "download package failed" - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
