Can't get Speech.X32 to access SAPI 5.4 on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine.
i can't seem speech.x32 work in director 10.1 projector or in shockwave on 64-bit windows 7 machine. works fine on xp , windows 7 32 bit, not on windows 7 64 bit. placed following script in first frame of movie. on machines says available.
on beginsprite
if voiceinitialize() then
alert "text-to-speech available"
else
alert "text-to-speech not available"
end if
end
however, imagine referring xtra, not microsoft sapi. can go accessibility features of windows 7 64-bit machine , use voice. won't work in projector or shockwavae movies. have seen number of discussions gamers loosing access voice option on windows 7 64 bit machines. none seemed offer solution. ideas?
