hi,

a long time ago created profile plugin on joomla sites. https://docs.joomla.org/creating_a_profile_plugin

it had worked , dont know @ point seems have happened. in added fields created option of required, optional or disabled set admin. noticed of 'required' fields show 'optional' in text shows on registration form. not optional , when user tries register comes error saying xzy required , continues until fields 'required' filled.

i toggled , forth between 3 (required, optional, disabled) fields see if dif. disabled in fact removed field optional or required both showed same in front end optional in parenthesis.

i went , looked @ profile.php file , shows 3 options.

i have not changed plugin in ages....

any ideas have happened? how can fix it?

re-posting still having issue , shows optional (parenthesis next question) because still required not letting form go through. seems functionally working text showing in parenthesis next question (optional) instead of (required).
