How do I make video editing less laggy in PS cs6?

i'm using photoshop cs6 edit video clips together, it's super laggy. how make it's less laggy? putting video files on external harddrive work?

 

i'm using macbook pro fast, video editor eats computer's speed tiger.

Error when I try to record application simulation in Adobe Presenter 8

hello, have 30 day trial of adobe presenter 8 , subscription adobe captivate 6.  record application simulation within presenter, receive error after entering swf-name states captivate cannot started , check see if captivate configured run in administrator mode.
