Thread: Upgrade to 11.10, wlan0 missing

i upgraded 11.04 11.10 last night. prior upgrade wireless connection working fine.

after reboot after upgrade, wlan0 seems have vanished , don't know how back.

running "nm-tool" shows eth0 (which isn't connected anything)
running "lspci" shows wireless card correctly
03.07.0 network controller: ralink corp. rt2800 802.11n pci
running "sudo iwconfig" shows lo , eth0 not wlan0

pages , threads i've found far assume wlan0 shows in iwconfig (which used before upgrade) don't know how fix if doesn't!

running "sudo lshw -c network" show wireless card lists unclaimed , doesn't show driver it.

help? please? i'll send cookies?

-will

try this:

code:
sudo modprobe rt2800pci
