Is it safe to uninstall Joomla components like Banners, Contacts, News feed and search if not using them - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,
we trying improve speed of our joomla 3.5.1 site , realised there quite few core components never use, such banners, contacts, messaging, news feed , search. questions are:
1. there performance (speed) improvement if disable/remove these core components?
2. if there improvement, disabling them same removing them?
3. there potential issues of removing these components, example there errors later when updating/upgrading joomla?

i've been getting rid of unwanted core components last few years, not because make huge speed difference, because wanted simplify admin interface as possible, end clients.

so answer questions...

1. there little no speed improvement eliminating these components. if there improvement, think minimal.
2. think answer yes, disabling create same effect removing them. if were talking security vulnerability, urge remove offending extension, since looking speed improvements, disabling them better, less destructive route.
3. routinely remove banners , news feed on own sites because never use them. i've removed contacts without causing trouble. should okay removing saerch, 1 i've never messed with. think in of these cases, disabling provide non-destructive way of handling these issues.
