Thread: Having problems with suspend on my laptop

i have hp pavilion dv 9000 series laptop running ubuntu 11.10. when close screen or suspend ubuntu , wake up/open screen shows similar snow on tv screen minus animatedness of it. have had no luck when trying google/search forums kinda problem.

let's figure out kind of video hardware have. can open terminal (by pressing ctrl-alt-t) , copy/pasting results of following terminal command here on thread:

sudo lshw -c display
you use system > preferences > power management turn off or disable suspend (to blank screen, hibernate, or shutdown) if suspend causing problem.

fyi- running hp dv9xxx series laptop, ubuntu lucid lynx 10.04.3 lts running kind of video/display adapter onboard:

sudo lshw -short

Joomal 3.6.3 update error - PHP temporary folder is not set - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi -- after after loading files of joomla 3.5 program, went site , tried open complete installation. got message: fatal error: require_once(): failed opening required '/homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/libraries/import.legacy.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5.5') in /homepages/37/d199794875/htdocs/gnustories/includes/framework.php on line 15 ran fpa program. hope way make available here. http://gnustories.org/fpa-en.php winku your domain name seems not working - not showing fpa report php page holding page generated isp (1 & 1) the easier way generate report fpa script , copy reply of thread (that intended way done). suggest review instructions on generating report makes format suitable forum.
