Why is my valid PDF signing certificate not trusted?
i signing pdf documents using third party (gnostice pdfone) api (which applies certifcate password-protected pfx export of certificate). pdf documents sent clients, , point of signing them indicate have not been changed , come us.
the document signed, certificate appears not chain aatl, , not seem register key usage "sign documents or data" , "certify documents".
the certificate purchased verisign , chain follows:
- my certificate
- verisign class 3 secure server ca - g3
- verisign class 3 public primary certification
i guessing issue lies in certificate, possibly how have set up, or how have purchased it. thought verisign part of aatl, should have bought different type of certificate?
i'm new setting certificates purposes, i'm sorry if simple.
i appreciate advice on certificate trusted.
thanks,
alistair
your verisign ca not in aatl. "verisign client external certification authority - g2" , "verisign class 3 ssp intermediate ca" in aatl.
