Thread: 'who' and 'w' don't show desktops

my son running maverick on old desktop, , we've replaced new system running oneiric unity.

or brother need launching things , i'll remote in via ssh , launch things. i'd figure out 1 logged in (they tend use each other's desktops) , on x11 display using 'w' or 'who' command.

now, 'w' , 'who' not show users logged in x11 desktops. when run sudo, doesn't show them. can tell htop they're logged in.

there command should use now?
