Thread: Can't login because it says something about gnome not being configured

gnome configured, know because when tried 20 times let me in once.
figure gnome can't problem because won't let me xterm or lubuntu either (same partition).

thought might because there no space on drive, when got in 1 time tried delete files, said didn't delete, clicked delete , nothing visible happened.

went windows, got ext2 volume manager , said had 7gb of free space, if had deleted files. mounted linux partition, looked @ files, tried delete movie, told me couldn't delete because didn't have write permission , when looked again had 13gb of free space.

i'm using lucid lynx 32bit.

free space problem go away if can delete files live disk?

are referring home directory? wild guess userid different 1 directory belongs to? simple ls -l show id dir belongs to. either change id using usermod or ownership of dir.
