Thread: Need help compiling Dreamcast homebrew from source.


just title says, got homebrew doom dreamcast known best doom port console, have compile yourself. i've barely compiled anything, i'm pretty unfamiliar it. tried following instructions, there's says have do, in have no idea how do... replaced cd drive's mount location on makefile, , replaced shareware doom iwad retail 1 in folder specified. here's output terminal.

here's installation section of homebrew's readme.

installation ============ copy dcdoom.sbi sbi directory of selfboot inducer. run sbi, select dcdoom, , click extract. switch on windows file manager. insider inducer directory, copy main wad files iwad directory, patch wad files pwad directory, , dehacked files deh directory. go sbi , create disc image. if don't have other files, making disc image after extracting sbi allow play shareware version of doom.  makefile in source allows make self-booting disc running "make clean", "make all", "make selfboot". should know making dreamcast homebrew before attempting this. cd writer set /dev/cdrom default in makefile. if writer @ other device, edit makefile before trying this.  building doom source requires patch biosfont routines in kos. diff file in kos-fixes directory in source directory. if can't patch , rebuild kos, shouldn't attempting build doom source.

edit: know method windows users there, don't have access windows pc.
