I installed Photos.hop 11. Where can I find directions for the next steps

i purchased photoshop 11 , installed it.  i'm trying figure out how import photos.  in pictures folder.  can't see give me option.

also, isn't there started step step somewhere????

photoshop doesn't import, open , edit.

and photoshop 11 few years old.

 

are talking elements 11?  if so, you'd have better luck in elements forum.
