Thread: copy ubuntu/gnome menus to xubuntu/xfce menu?

running ubuntu 11.04, installed xubuntu-desktop avoid unity.

under ubuntu/gnome menus, had sorted applications different sub folders. example, had games menu split different sub folders different kinds of games.

when moved xubuntu, lost of that, , of ended in "other" menu.

can rebuild same structure again, create needed folders, move each application correct folder 1 @ time. but, hoping there simpler way this.

there way directly copy old ubuntu/gnome menu structure xubuntu/xfce menus?

thanks!

i curious, i've been setting , trying out new systems , have same question.

have not looked xfce/xubuntu yet, both ubuntu , kubuntu save file in ~/.config/menus. have similar header info (references 'dtd menu 1.0....', format looks bit different. seems file not created until edit menu default.

not sure if easier edit file, compare them , see.
