Thread: SMB Mounting in Fstab

hey all,

got fstab mounting question. mounted smb shares pc on ubuntu 10.10 desktop no problems. when tried set on laptop running 11.10, not mount. fstab entry looks this,

//my-pc/media /media/server cifs credentials=/root/smb/cred,rw,iocharset=utf8,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0

when try , mount manually ,

mount //my-pc/media

output,

mount: root can mount //my-pc/media
