i've got question (that not entirely ubuntu related). if install ubuntu, can make automatically starts windows, starts ubuntu when press key? i'm familiar "press key display menu" thing, i'd have dont see (or see different message). possible? i'm curious. mom doesnt approve linux because in past crashed computer because of stupid things (oh, you're young, try stuff ), without free, customizable software i'd go nuts (especially customizable part , thats why :'

you dual boot default o/s being windows needing select ubuntu instead @ boot time.

or run ubuntu within windows using vmwareplayer (or other virtualisation software). have windows running , vm in ubuntu.

or run ubuntu flash drive (pen drive) , set pc boot usb when ubuntu pen drive inserted @ boot.
