Thread: unable to mount drives, not authorized
first post here, lurked bunch, enjoying ubuntu, needed register , ask question.
imagine answer simple, not sure.
built computer few months ago, installed newest ubuntu, upgraded ocelot, went fine.
2 nights ago, didn't shut computer down before falling asleep, power blipped, imagine computer had hard shutdown.
after this, internal hd, cd-drive, , other data stuff won't automount. computer recognizes exist (visible in disk utility) says "unable mount [name]: not authorized".
in looking @ fstab, theres error remount: ro thing don't recognize, read said that's part of file protection system in case of corruption or similar?
ideas how return drives normal?
thanks!
did try /etc/hal automount?
