i'm having issues 11.10. when run unity --reset getting warnings.

compiz (core) - warn: unhandled configurenotify on 0x120009e!
compiz (core) - warn: should never happen. should file bug this.

i having same problem. installed ccsm , going disable mt handles (because when put mouse on scrollbar handles appear , i'd resize window instead of scrolling down!). when reviewing options in ccsm clicked properties button , froze, killed process , when returned desktop unity broken, no sidebar or anything, nautilus. have tried

sudo apt-get purge unity && sudo apt-get install compiz unity ubuntu-desktop

wich should have removed along configuration files , reinstalled packages. when logged in again, no unity. (however seems work on guest account!). have tried:

gsettings reset-recursively com.canonical.unity unity --reset unity --replace

none of seem work. last 2 give me same warning message got. found multiple threads similar problem, suggesting same solution reset unity, doesn't work me. found no solution.
