hello, have installed fresh install of ubuntu 11.10 on machine, dual boots windows pro seems working except wireless internet - dell wireless 1470 dual band mini pci card have tried install ndiswrapper, no avail. ideas do? thanks tim majority of time, "dell" wireless cards broadcom. broadcom difficult company deal on platform, let alone linux. easiest thing plug in internet via ethernet cable, navigate "additional drivers." once there, see if broadcom entry comes up. once installed, reboot, , see if wireless behaves accordingly. Здравствуйте. Скачал шаблон сайта. В нем есть два варианта установки. Через quickstart и пошагово. Хотел через quickstart но проблема с русским языком. Постоянно дает какие-то ошибки. Решил пошагово лепить: сначала тема, потом компоненты. Тему установил, а компоненты хочу потянуть из папки quickstart. Если подсунуть их в каталоги components\ и administrator\components\ они не появляются в админ панели. Подскажите, как правильно их установить. zip архивов этих компонентов нет. ok, i'm using ubuntu 10.04 lts , of sudden screen flickers , visual effects turn off. i've been using compiz cube thingy while , it's been working perfectly. go menu change visual effects "none" "normal" , tells me "desktop effects cannot enabled". have no idea causing problem know computer capable of using normal effects since i've been using them start. also, should note thinkpad sl410. could recent update. 1 video driver.
