when accessing 3d transform , selecting shape required , ok.  shape not download blank page.  anchor points, pan camera tool , trackball tool greyed out.  these features worked few months ago.  has happened please? although 3d transform filter install in pse 10 under windows might not work designed older versions of photoshop (elements)   for first part (shape not appear on blank layer) look under options , uncheck display background or start new blank layer. hi guys, problem: installed kubuntu-plasma-desktop/netbook package gui software tool in ubuntu 11.10 (using process described here: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/kde ), , after rebooting, can't login splash screen. see "kubuntu" logo, progress bar of sorts, filling on , on again. no login screen. os loads properly, though -- if log non-gui tty, can move through filesystem , run commands normally. i'm not sure if x server starting right -- though looks have beginnings of gui (kubuntu logo) on tty7, if switch tty6 , log in , run "startx", doesn't throw errors. running startx on tty pops me gnome desktop session. thought weird, because whenever i've had malfunctioning gui session in past, trying launch x server in tty returns error xorg.config thing being locked process (i assume malfunctioning gui in tty7). not in case -- can launch x other ttys without problem. unfortunately, x/gnome seem drop me limited gnome sess...

hi all, apart long time user of ubuntu on ancient thinkpad t41 i've had dual boot win 7 & ubuntu machine 2 years. ubuntu insurance policy ensure access pc data after windows went bang ( remember vista ?). running ssd (80gb) 8gb ram, set aside 10gb ubuntu (root 3gb & swap @ 1.5gb , data @ 6gb) in ssd. not upgrade stable 10.04 direct 11.10, wanted intermediate upgrade steps..10.10 etc. @ point 3gb partition became full (how?) , ubuntu install failed; process never warned me run out of disk tried carry on install in ext4 6gb partition. corruption followed & lost grub2 ( grub rescue> totally - not user friendly) dont waste day did trying fix ubuntu or grub2. bootable pendrives, cds & isos. following posts wrong. aaaarrrgggh. blow away. stick in win 7 disk, fire system repair, command prompt & use bootrec.exe & fixmbr win 7 & your/my data & programs. see ms kb # 927392. guess ubuntu still not fit commercial deskt...
